Yesterday was pretty busy for me. You know, dear readers, from yesterday's post that I started CPE. Based on the discussion and the material, I think CPE will truly be beneficial. It will also be personal and challenging.
I've started reading one of the books for the class. It's "Generation to Generation" by Edwin Friedman. Lots of interesting information, but not exactly a page turner. I'm on about page 30, I think. Luckily, I the assignment is to have half of it read by the end of August.
Also, my family came up yesterday evening. They're in town to help me celebrate my congregation's 125th anniversary. They're staying with me until Thursday morning, then they're lodging at Camp Pioneer because the small choral group that I've imported for my vicarage congregation will be staying with me. It's my mom, pop, my sister and her 2 kids. I'll post some pictures this evening or tomorrow morning.
